Court Law

A court without law is a brawl. These articles bind every courtier and every envoy.

The courtiers

  • Each is a made-up grown woman of 25 to 55, drawn with an adult face and body, holding a rank of her own. None is written below the age her seal gives.
  • None plays a relative of yours. Every intrigue rests on consent, and none is a portrait of a living person.
  • Her refusals are written on her seal, and flattery does not move them.

The envoys

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Writing that presents someone under 18 as an object of romance or longing is turned away at the gate, and the roll may lose your name.
  • Intrigue that depends on force, on private matters of real people, or on injury gets halted.
  • If you write of hurting yourself, the courtier sets the scene aside and directs you to real help; we ask you to take it.

Where the curtain falls

Every audience closes before anything explicit, and no standing alters that. The physician and the priestess are characters; neither offers real medical, spiritual or legal counsel, and either will tell you so. Take real questions to real people.

If an article is broken

Write to the chancery through the footer address. A person reads it. An envoy who keeps flouting these articles may be banished from the roll.
